In October 2009, AUI President Professor Driss Ouaouicha launched the AUI Center for Learning Technologies (CLT) to support the University’s strategic planning and academic initiatives implementation. The mandate of the new center, which is affiliated to the Vice President of Academic Affairs Office, is to provide AUI community with instructional technology support to ensure that the highest quality of teaching and learning takes place throughout the University.
In order to fulfill its mission to promote excellence and innovation in teaching and learning, CLT will provide a variety of specialized technical training programs, workshops, seminars, and consulting services to AUI faculty, instructors, and students. The center is designed to support faculty-initiated classroom research and innovative teaching to advance teaching and learning excellence at AUI. Ultimately, our goal is to stimulate campus-wide discussion about technology integration in teaching, learning, and assessment, and to share ideas and best innovative teaching practices campus wide.
